MCP connector

Feasibly in your AI assistant

The Feasibly MCP server connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other MCP clients to Feasibly’s matched public data on the GB electricity grid. Ask in plain English and get figures with their source, date and a link.

What it answers

  • Grid capacity: the published generation and demand headroom at substations and grid supply points.
  • The connection queue: what is contracted to connect at a node, by planned date and Gate status. The registers publish no queue position, so none is given.
  • What is near a site: substations, grid supply points and renewable energy sites around a location, nearest first.

Every figure is quoted with its publisher, the publisher’s date and a source link. These are indicative published figures, not a connection offer or a view on whether a site is viable.

Who it is for

The self-serve plan is for UK businesses, sole traders included. An admin of your organisation buys it, and more credits, from Billing at account.feasibly.co.uk. Outside the UK, or need to pay by invoice? Email support@feasibly.co.uk.

Connect

Every client uses the same server address. You sign in with your Feasibly account the first time you connect.

https://mcp.feasibly.co.uk/mcp

Claude.ai

  1. Open Settings > Connectors > Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Feasibly and enter https://mcp.feasibly.co.uk/mcp as the URL.
  3. Choose Connect and sign in to Feasibly.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add the connector for your organisation first.

Claude Code

Run this in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http feasibly https://mcp.feasibly.co.uk/mcp

Then type /mcp in Claude Code, choose Feasibly and sign in.

ChatGPT

  1. In Settings, open Apps and connectors, then Advanced settings, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Create a connector named Feasibly, with https://mcp.feasibly.co.uk/mcp as the MCP server URL and OAuth as the authentication.
  3. Sign in to Feasibly when ChatGPT asks.

Custom connectors depend on your ChatGPT plan, and in a workspace your admin may need to allow them first.

Cursor

  1. Open Cursor Settings, go to MCP and add a new server, or add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "feasibly": { "url": "https://mcp.feasibly.co.uk/mcp" }
  }
}

Cursor asks you to sign in to Feasibly the first time.

Any other client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth connects the same way, using https://mcp.feasibly.co.uk/mcp.

Example prompts

  • “Is there grid capacity near Malton, North Yorkshire? Give the generation headroom at each substation, with its source and date.”
  • “What is contracted to connect at the grid supply point nearest York, and when?”
  • “What is near 54.13, -0.79? List the nearest substations and renewable energy sites, nearest first.”

Troubleshooting

If Feasibly refuses a request, the message says why. Signing in again will not fix any of these; what will is below.

Your sign-in names no organisation

Your Feasibly account needs an organisation. Set one up, or ask a colleague to add you to theirs, at account.feasibly.co.uk. If you belong to more than one, choose which one to use when you sign in.

Your organisation requires single sign-on

Your organisation signs in through its own identity provider. Disconnect the connector, connect again and sign in with your work account through single sign-on.

Your organisation has used all its seats

Your organisation’s agreement sets a number of seats. Ask an admin of your organisation to free a seat at account.feasibly.co.uk, or email support@feasibly.co.uk to add more.

Your organisation is out of credits

An admin can buy the plan or more credits from Billing at account.feasibly.co.uk. A plan’s monthly credits start again at the next period.

Your account or organisation is suspended

Ask an admin of your organisation, or email us at support@feasibly.co.uk.

Support

Email support@feasibly.co.uk with what you asked and what came back, and we will help.
